Texas Home Living

The TxHmL Program provides individual services and support to persons with intellectual disabilities who are living with their families, in their own homes, or with friends or relatives in the community.

Eligibility

Five requirements

  • There is no age limit.
  • Not currently enrolled in another Medicaid waiver program.
  • A determination made in accordance with state law, or a physician's diagnosis of a related condition.
  • Has chosen the TxHmL program over the ICF/MR program.
  • Financial eligibility is determined by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
